Bio

With an impressive four-octave range, Tim was clearly born to sing. His voice is remarkable for both its power and its beauty, and he has been likened to some of the great contemporary male vocalists including Josh Groban and John Farnham.

Hailing from a musical family, Tim grew up singing in church and sleeping under sound desks. He has had the privilege of learning from some of Australia’s finest musicians, including singers Patricia Oertel, Mark Williams, Justine Bradley, Kristin Berardi and Leigh McRae, and guitarists Michael Dolce and David Holmes. After high school, Tim went on to study music at Wesley Institute, later completing his Bachelor of Music with Central Queensland University.

Tim is married with three young sons, and together the family enjoys spending time at the park or visiting friends, as well as the odd occasion when everyone sleeps all night!

In 2012 Tim released his debut album, Stargazing, with Australian piano legend Mark Isaacs. This album raises funds for life-saving maternal health projects in rural Nepal – something that is close to Tim’s heart.

In January 2013 he opened his singing school, Sydney Vocal Academy, which was the culmination of many years of teaching and dreaming.

In April 2013 Tim was given a place on Team Seal for the second series of The Voice Australia, where he was ultimately knocked out in the Battle Rounds. This incredible experience won Tim many new fans and gave him a new understanding of himself as a singer. In 2016 Tim successfully auditioned for The X Factor (Australia), and received high praises from judges Adam Lambert, Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian. Click to watch his audition singing The Flame.

In 2017 he released his breakthrough single, The Kind Of Man, which received immediate interest from around the globe.
